Festival has a great atmosphere. favourites: Anna Mendes, Minako Seki Company, Sonya Levin. And of course my own performance CHOSEN which i performed there on friday.
Berlinale shorts
What: Film
Where: Berlinale
Who: different artists
Always cool to see al this different styles in short films. animation, documentary and fiction from all over the world. Must say that i am not that impressed by the films as i was last year. some interesting makers: Clément Decaudin, Ulu Braun, Leontine Arvidsson, Ivana Todorovic, Köken Ergun.
Neueröffnung HAU
What: Theatre
Where: Hebbel am Ufer
Who: Miet Warlop | Wunderbaum | Schwalbe
three totally different performances. But all interesting. Miet Warlop makes a performance with moving objects that create a story. Wünderbaum made a play specially for the reopening of HAU about reopening a theatre in Berlin and what the people on the streets want to see in the theatre. Nice to see some saucy dutch theatre in Berlin. the way they play with theatre codes is great! Schwalbe made an interesting play about people fighting. What starts as a game becomes more and more serious. Appointments about what is real and what is theatre fade.
